October 16 1909-American President William H. Taft and Mexican President Porfirio Díaz met for the first time for a summit in the El Paso-Juarez border. A luncheon was hosted by President Taft in El Paso, followed by a dinner by President Díaz in Juarez. Private discussions led to agreements made. TAFT DÍAZ serves as a testament that great things can flourish when you welcome others at your table.

Stopped in twice during my El Paso stay as the food was divine. After my drive in my waiter Cameron was great explaining the menu items to me and also in more detail when they arrived. The Maitre d was also very enthusiastic and both men recommended the artichoke taco which was unlike any taco you've ever had before. Great flavors and spice in all the food, especially the avocado toast which was a perfect balance of fats and acid. Reasonably priced and outstanding quality.

Poor communication and service for such a beautiful place. The food was not worth the price. This was my second time as I was not impressed the first time but wanted to give it another chance. Confirmed my first impression was accurate. Nice place and addition to downtown El Paso but poorly managed. We like to support local businesses but not with an experience like this will we be dining here or recommending this restaurant. Management responded to my email and called me once. When I replied back and called back. No response again and my issues were neither addressed nor resolved!

Went here with coworkers. The decor was simple and contemporary. They have a sommelier and an open kitchen; allowing clear visibility as the chefs prepare your food. There are lights extending down from the ceiling, with fabric-flower petals going up and down. They serve fresh bread with a green Chile butter, that is delicious while you order.and wait for your food. Tried several dishes, they were all delicious, made with fresh ingredients. Prices are what are expected for the quality and ambiance of this restaurant. Not inexpensive. I would definitely recommend and will return to try the aged rib-eye!

One of the best dining experiences in El Paso. Everything is delicious, not one single bad plate on the menu. Highly recommended.

I love this place! It is elegant, modern, artcy, clean and the service SUPER!Besides a restaurant it is also a hotel with all the super comfortable amenities.I met my friends there for breakfast. Their menu is extensive and the prices for breakfast are not bad. Their food is a combination between french/Mexican cuisine. Be open to try new dishes because everything looked delicious. The decor is modern contemporary with modern art in almost every corner. The staff was very nice, efficient and welcome us for the three hours we were there. I understand that the place at night, has a more relax, candle intimate feel to it. They have their own valet parking for 8.00 a day. Not bad for a block away from the San Jacinto Plaza in downtown.

My boyfriend and i came here for a valentines dinner only to expect the worst. Our reservation was at 7:45pm only to be seated at 8pm. We didn’t get offered wine only water which was strange and very rude. We waited a while for the course to be given to us, and we were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours to finish!!! We were furious because a table sitting next to us got sat and were given their course of meal in a matter of 30 minutes and left before us. I think our server just had too many tables and wasn’t keeping up. For almost spending $300 that night was not worth it. We will not be returning.

Always so delicious. Definitely try all the tacos and one of the Mezcal cocktails. The chicken entree is the softest juiciest chicken I have ever had in my life. Will definitely be back again.

Most horrible dinner experience by far! We went during valentines weekend when they had the tasting menu of 4 courses. Between the two of us and the 8 dishes, only one dish was edible. I Mentioned to the waitress early on that the courses didn’t meet our expectations and no one did anything about it. They just kept bringing the remaining of the nasty courses. This place didn’t meet the expectation nor the cost. I’m not one to write reviews but I do when the place is either extremely good or externally bad. This one was bad. Waste of money and valentines dinner evening ruined. I give it 0 stars.

It was a pleasant experience. The food was good (I'm no connoisseur, so I won't pretend), but it looked and tasted like someone cared about it. The flavors were definitely different from your average restaurant so I would say they merit the price difference. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, it's small and you have a decent view of the kitchen from most of the tables. The "dancing lamps are a nice touch" Jacqueline was our server she was very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We were offered a tour of several of the guest rooms and Carlos, the butler for the night, showed us 3 different rooms.

I stand corrected, this Restauranteur showed me what a gentleman is supposed to be, they offered us their rosemary chicken, truffle mashed potatoes, grilled veggies with chimichurri sauce, and for dessert strawberries and cream...this was phenomenal, I have to agree with the rest this is absolutely worth it!Thank you Martin!

So disappointing on Christmas. Prime rib not cooked as ordered. Bread served burned black on bottom. Sides were cold. Waitress didn't know anything. Cameron was the best. Manager no help. Fast food better choice. Expend

One of the best places in El Paso! Absolutely love it, we had 4 cocktails and all of them were delicious! I have to say that bar bites were delicious as well, the one with iberico and Dijon mustard was particularly tasty 😋 next time we are going there for dinner, place looks super clean and smells amazing, highly recommend!
